Bumi adalah satu-satunya planet tempat kehidupan. Namun, pada abad ini polusi dan pencemaran di bumi meningkat drastis.Sering terjadinya bencana dan ancaman pemanasan global ( atau sering disebut global Warming) mengancam kehidupan di bumi.
Pemanasan Global
Polusi yang di sebabkan senyawa dan gas-gas sisa pembakaran, seperti gas metan,karbondioksida,senyawa feron dan asam asam nitrat terakumulasi dengan gas yang dihasilkan rumah kaca di atmosfer. Bumi seperti dilapisi oleh lapisan kaca.Karena energi panas matahari dapat menembus lapisan itu dan masuk ke bumi.Setelah itu energi panas itu dipantulkan oleh permukaan bumi.Namun Energi panas matahari tidak dapat keluar menembus lapisan kaca. Karena itu panas nya tertahan dibumi.Jika biarkan lama-kelamaan suhu di bumi akan naik. Naiknya suhu permukaan bumu sedikit saja dapat merubah keadaan bumi.Lapisan es di kutub utara dan selatab bisa mencair. Sehingga Pulau-pulau kecil bisa terendam karena ketinggian air laut meningakat. Peningkatan suhu 4 derajat celcius di bumi dapat mengubah iklim,merubah lahan-lahan prodoktif menjadi lahan-lahan tandus, dan hal itu bisa mengancam kehidupan makhluk hidup di bumi.

Menipisnya Lapisan ozon
Pernah mendengar bahwa lapisan ozon makin menipis.
Sebenarnya apasih lapisan ozon itu?
Lapisan ozon merupakan lapisan pelndung bumi. Letaknya di statosfer atau di ketinggian 20-30 km.
Mengapa lapisan ozon menipis?
Pada pertengahan Februari 1992 lembaga antariksa Amerika Serikat (NASA) mengumunkan hasil pemantauan 2 satelitnya yang mengorbit di belahan bumi utara.Hasilnya sungguh mengejutkan.Di kawasan statosfer di Amerika Serikat,Rusia,Kanada,Jerman dan kawasan eropa dipenuhi butiran klorin monoksida (ClO). Klorin monoksida (ClO) merupakan senyawa yang di hasilkan karena pemakaian feron. Feron (CFCs) atau halokarbon digunakan dalam pemakaian lemari es, hair spray,parfum ,obat semprot serangga ,AC , dan pembersih komputer. Dari alat-alat itu fron yang sudah tidak dignakan terbang kelangit dan bereaksi dengan ozon.Kedua kutub bumi menjadi sasaranya karena merupakan tempat perputaran udara. Sehingga feron mengalir ke tempat yang lebih dingin. Setelah bereaksi dengan ozon feron berubah menjadi klorin monoksida. Setiap butir klor mampu membunuh 100.000 butir molekul ozon. Yang lebih hebat lagi semburan roket pesawat ulang alik dapat merusak 0 juta ton lapisan ozon. Jadi 300 kali penerbangan pesawat ulang alik saja dapat merusak seluruh lapisan ozon.
Apa yang terjadi jika lapisan ozon hancur?
Jika lapisan ozon hancur maka sinar ultraviolet dari matahari akan langsung masuk ke bumi dan menyebabkan radiasi sinar ultraviolet. Radiasi ini dapat menyebabkan penyakit katarak dan kaker kulit. Selain itu fitoplakton dan makhluk bersel satu laun akan mati. Uadara pun akan semakin kering.

My brother and I are in Bukittinggi now. We arrived here on Sunday morning at five.

into the ground with an entrance at one end, and an exit at the other end. The people here said
that a long time ago the cave was used by the Japanese army to protect themselves from the
Dutch attack. At that time it seemed that there was nothing in the ground. Both the entrance
and the exit were covered by plants.

Mengenal Jaring Laba – Laba

Laba – laba adalah sejenis hewan berbuku – buku dengan dua segmen tubuh, ampat pasang kaki, tak bersayap dan tak memiliki mulut pengunyah. Semua jenis laba – laba digolongkan kedalam ordo Araneae, kelas Arachnida. Laba – laba merupakan hewan pemangsa (karnivora). Mangsa utamanya adalah serangga. Dari puluhan ribu spesies yang ada, hanya sekitar 200 spesies yang gigitannya dapat membahayakan manusia.
Tidak semua laba – laba membuat jaring untuk menangkap mangsa, akan tetapi ssemuanya mampu mengasilkan benang sutera yakni helaian serat protein yang tiptis namun kuat dari kelenjar (spinneret) yang terletak di bagian belakangtubuhnya. Serat sutera ini amat sangat berguna untuk membantu pergerakan laba –laba, berayun dari satu tempat ke tempat lain, menjeat mangsa, embuat kantung telur, melindungi libang sarang,dll.
Laba – laba memiliki dua bagian tubuh. Segmen bagian depan disebut Cephalothorax atau Prosoma, yang sebetulnya merupakan gabungan dari kepala dan dada (thorax). Segmemn bagian belakang disebut Abdomen (perut) atau Opisthosoma. Antara Cephalothorax dan Abdomen ada penghubung tipis yang dinamai Pedicle atau Pedicellus.
Pada beberapa jenis laba – laba, pedipalpus pada hewan jantan dewasa membesar dan berubah fungsi sebagai alat bantu dalam perkawinan. Sebagai gantinya, mulut laba – laba berupa alat pengisap untuk menyedot cairan tubuh mangsanya.
Mata pada laba – laba umumnya merupakan mata tunggal (mata berlensa tunggal), dan bukan mata majemuk seperti pada serangga. Kebanyakan laba – laba memiliki penglihatan yang tidak begitu baik, tidak dapat membedakan warna, atau hanya sensitive pada gelap dan terang. Laba – laba penghuni gua bahkan ada yang buta. Perkecualiannya terdapat pada beberapa jenis laba – laba pemburu yang mempunyai penglihatan tajam, termasuk dalam mengenali warna.
Untuk menandai kehadiran mangsanya pada umumnya laba – laba mengandalkan getaran, baik pada jaring suteranya maupun pada tanah, air, atau tempat yang dihinggapinya. Ada pula laba – laba yang mampu merasakan perbedaan tekanan udara. Indra peraba laba – laba terletak pada rambut – rambut dikakinya.
Kebanyakan memang laba – laba merupakan predator (pemangsa) penyergap, yang menunngu mangsa lewat didekatnya sambil bersembunyi di balik daun, lapisan daun bunga, celah bebatuan, atau lubang ditanah yang ditutupi kamuflase. Beberapa jenis memiliki pola warna yang menyamarkan tubuhnya diatas batu atau pepagan pohon sehingga tak perlu bersembunyi.
Bias yang disuntikkan laba – laba melalui taringnya biasanya sekaligus mencerna dan menghancurkan bagian dalam tubuh mangsa. Kemudian perlahan – lahan cairan tubuh beserta hancuran organ dalam itu dihisap oleh si pemangsa. Berjam – jam laba – laba menyedot caiarn itu hingga bangkai mangsanya mongering. Laba – laba yang memiliki rahang (Chelicera) kuat,bias lebih cepat menghabiskan makanannya dengan cara merusak dan meremuk tubuh mangsa dengan rahang dan taringnya itu.
